The Racial Equity 2030 challenge launched on October 13, 2020. Between October 13, 2020 and January 28, 2021, use our tool to determine your organization’s readiness for participating in the challenge and register.
Before submitting an application, your organization must register by Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Only registrants will be able to submit an application.
Once registration has closed, registrants will have four additional weeks to submit their applications. All applications are due Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Over a period of several weeks, each application will be reviewed to ensure that it meets the challenge requirements and rules. All eligible applications will proceed to the next stage.
Each applicant will review and provide scores and comments on five other applications using the scoring rubric. Peer reviews are due Monday, April 26, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Applicants may be asked to score and comment on additional applications. Final peer reviews are due no later than Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
During this period, members of the expert review panel will provide additional scores and comments on their assigned submissions using the scoring rubric.
At least three $20 million and two $10 million grants will be awarded to the organizations with the most compelling proposals to advance racial equity. Awards will be granted over the next nine years to coincide with the foundation’s 100th anniversary in 2030.
